Everyone is going to get special treatment paid to them in teaching history. I think this will cause two harmful things to happen. In order to teach gay history, and black history, and womens history, and labor history focus will be taken away from our shared history as a nation. Without a shared history, we lose a little bit of what holds us together, and a little bit of who we are. The second issue, is teaching of history will suffer in general. Get the government out of schools.
