The Browser: Analyzing the tech biz

The Browser: Analyzing the tech biz:

"Valleywag is reporting that MySpace (NWS) has purchased Photobucket, the
photo and video hosting service that has long been the giant social network’s
leading 3rd party infrastructure provider."

It was once said that the path to success on the internet was to create a site that would draw a lot of traffic and then to make money with ads. However, it went on that the path to success has changed, now the path to success is to create a site and hope that one of the growing players on the internet buys it and gives you a high paying job. The list of such sites is almost endless, looking back to PayPal being purchased by E-Bay, to the most recent purchase of YouTube by Google.

It would appear the newest site to fall to this trend is Photobucket, which is rumored to being purchased by MySpace. MySpace of course is owned by News Corp., a company set on expanding its role on the internet.
