The New Republic is responding to claims that a recent number of stories set in Iraq have been at least partially made up is responding with an investigation. The editor of course is in a sticky situation, if he doesn't look into the accuracy of the story, it looks like the magazine doesn't care. If the editor does find something, and reveals it, then it is going to be a critical hit on the image of the magazine. This is the same magazine that is still getting over the Stephen Glass scandal.
"“Now that these questions have been raised, we’ve launched an inquiry.
We’re putting the full resources of the magazine to look into the story,” Mr.
Foer said. “It’s taking me a little bit longer than I wish it did. The author,
not to mention some of the participants in the anecdotes he described, are
active duty soldiers and they’re on 20-hour active combat missions sometimes,
and it’s very difficult for me to get them all on the phone to ask them the
questions that I’d like to ask.”"

It doesn't sounds like she is though, I looked back at the source for the story that she was in rehab and it looks like it came from TMZ, which is a solid source, but this is a fast moving story and there are always mistakes when you are against the clock. So all the talk about the pictures and the scene that Britney made while doing the photo shoot is likely not true. It looks like it was put out there by the editor of the rag because they had no good shots of Britney and the interview didn't turn out good. I can understand how the interview would fail, this is Britney Spears we are talking about, she doesn't have any secrets that she can share anymore.
Looks like the shame is going to be falling on the editor of OK instead of on Britney.

I am just going to declare that this is the Lindsay Lohan blog now...
You always hope that when someone goes into rehab that it creates the change in their life that they need. While Lohan has been in and out of rehab, she has fallen into the same traps over and over again. Betty Ford seems to have a better record than Promises, lets hope that it helps Lohan.
At this point with jail in her future, going to rehab is no doubt an attempt to escape the public spot light as it is to attempt healing. I honestly wish her well.

Did Dori have a bad influence on Lindsay that caused her to relapse. According to all reports Lohan had been doing well in her recovery. Could it have been her friendship with this lady that put her off track, it sounds like the trouble has started just in the last couple days.

Lindsay sweetie, just when we all thought you were doing so much better. This is really bad for her, the charges she is looking at are a DUI, cocaine possession, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility and driving on a suspended license. She is going to do time for this.
It is really sad in a way, I thought that she had turned her life around. This could be the end of Lindsay Lohan, she doesn't have the luxury of Paris Hilton to be able to survive without working on movies, and it is going to be hard to get a job after this. We will see how the dust settles, but she will be doing time almost for sure.

This could be the end of Lindsay Lohan, she doesn't have the luxury of Paris Hilton to be able to survive without working on movies, and it is going to be hard to get a job after this. We will see how the dust settles, but she will be doing time almost for sure.
