The Strata-Sphere » Global Warming - Or Simply Massive Under Sea Volcanoes? - Updated!:

"Recent massive volcanoes have risen from the ocean floor deep under the
Arctic ice cap, spewing plumes of fragmented magma into the sea, scientists who
filmed the aftermath reported Wednesday."

Could there be another reason for the melting of ice in the Artic Ocean?

GOP Bigot Eruption: Grover Norquist Edition » Oliver Willis:

"“Norquist dropped by The Times’ Washington bureau today and, as part of his
negative critique of Obama’s liberal stances on economic issues and other
matters, he termed the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee ‘John Kerry
with a tan.’”"

Keep talking like this, and Ralph Nader is going to want to offer Norquist a running mate position. This really is unacceptable.

I think this is wrong, if you agree with the president or not, he deserves to be respected. This is not respect.

Michelle Malkin » Even Bigger Outrage–Mexican soldiers hitmen arrested for murdering man in his Phoenix, Arizona home:

"Police reports show that three men arrested in a Phoenix home invasion and
homicide Monday may have been active members of the Mexican Army."

Something that the right-wing blogs are talking about that I think should be a concern to Americans. Is this an immigration issue, I'm not sure. You would have to prove to me that these soldiers came across illegally to perform this attack.

Hathaway for breaking up with her loser boyfriend."

And who the hell cares what you think Donald.

Gates of Vienna: A German View of History

Gates of Vienna: A German View of History:

"“Very few people were true Nazis,” he said, “but many enjoyed the return
of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who
just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and
let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost
control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended
up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.”"

It is always the little people that get hurt in wars, the leaders with their ideas lead the people to death and blood, but they do not bleed or die.

Paris Hilton Not Giving Up on Singing Career GossipBoulevard:

"Paris Hilton is taking another stab at the music industry. Her first attempt
was nothing compared to what she had most likely wanted."

With Lindsay coming out with a new album, I was wondering if Paris was going to put something else out.

"The Osbournes are bacK on TV! After their highly popular MTV reality show,
America’s favorite dysfunctional family will be spearheading a weekly variety
show."

I was just telling someone how the Lohan show and the Hogan show made me think that the Osbournes had class.

CNN: Computer Illiterate McCain Too Stupid to be President NewsBusters.org:

"Since Eisenhower first ran for president in 1952, it has been a common strategy
for Democrats and media members -- as if there's much of a difference these
days! -- to depict Republican presidential candidates as too stupid to hold the
office."

I think it is time to stop this silliness, it doesn't serve to promote any ideas, and it doesn't change anyone's mind.

Pelosi: I Want to Bring Back 'Fairness Doctrine' | NewsBusters.org

Pelosi: I Want to Bring Back 'Fairness Doctrine' NewsBusters.org:

"Over at HumanEvents.com, John Gizzi has House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
(D-Calif.) on the record saying that the Democratic caucus, far from being
agnostic on the so-called Fairness Doctrine, is actually interested in
resurrecting it. What's more, Pelosi herself wants to bring back the policy that
could literally silence conservative talk radio."

I think this is a bad policy, it serves to limit speech not promote it.

"Gerard Baker wonders in his Times of London column why the West wears such long
faces regarding the war on terror. On every front, we have prevailed far past
the hopes we had after 9/11."

We have a solid fight ahead of us, but in a number of places it appears we have made strong gains.

A fun site that introduces a new term about Obama every day. Check it out, it is good.

Pajamas Media » Is Obama the Democrats’ Reagan?

Pajamas Media » Is Obama the Democrats’ Reagan?:

"The central conceit of Barack Obama’s candidacy is that he is a new
kind of politician. His race aside, there is little about him that is genuinely
refreshing; although he is young, there have been younger candidates, and he
would not be the youngest president, if elected."

I am not a huge fan of Obama, but I think it is true that he has the ability to shape the party for years to come.

'Into the Wild' pilgrimages increase in Alaska - Yahoo! News:

"HEALY, Alaska - Ron Alexander has long been intrigued with the true story of a
young idealist who met his death in Alaska's unyielding wilderness in 1992."

This is a sad testimony to the low reading ability of the American public. I read the book, and in the book "Into the Wild", it is made abundantly clear the mistake that was made by McCandles and how it was a foolish trip, romantic but foolish. I think there is a deeper lesson in the book, and when I read it, it made me think about my family. The one thing the book talks about, which people over look, both in the book and in their lives.

DNC protests will be behind fence - The Denver Post

DNC protests will be behind fence - The Denver Post:

"The fence around the public demonstration zone outside the Democratic National
Convention will be chicken wire or chain link, authorities revealed in U.S.
District Court today."

If all the protesters were there to peacefully express themselves, and their opinions about the war, this wouldn't be a problem. I would like to think that this is the case. However there are people there who would like to throw rocks, and who will use violence as a means of dissent. There needs to be protection to prevent these people from causing harm.
