Blogger Spotlight: Mary-Kate is Single

Blogger Spotlight: Mary-Kate is Single

Mary-Kate is certainly making headlines this week! The more gothic half of the
Olsen Sisters made her debut on Weeds on Monday night and now, she's endured a
breakup with her long distance love, Max Snow. From our friends at Crabbie's
Hollywood:

She is a strong womyn, she will survive. She has been making a lot of headlines this week and looking really hot. I wonder if they are going to show Weeds on the internet. Lots of hot single hot girls in Hollywood right now, Mary-Kate and Hayden.

Chris Crocker Is Famous

Chris Crocker Is Famous

Chris Crocker's "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE" video has already been seen over 2 million times and it hasn't even been up for 48-hours. Chris has already spoken to
Howard Stern, ABC News and he's scheduled for CNN, The View as well as other
radio stations. People are skeptical in believing that Chris' tears are real.

What irony, he is probably more popular than Britney herself right now. Not only that but if he does things right he might be able to develop a career out of this, where Britney on the other hand is left to pick up the pieces of what was. When I watched the video a couple hours ago, it was well past 3 million views, it has been wall papered across the internet - even leaking into political blogs.

Fred Durst And David Arquette Working On A Top Secret Film Project!

Fred Durst and David Arquette were hard at work last night filming a new show,
that’s plenty under wraps, at the Viper Room in West Hollywood! Actor Jason
Hervey from “The Wonder Years” is also involved in the project!

Was there some secret mixer in Hollywood that got all these stars to talk to people they don't normally. First there was Hilton and associates with their restaurant, now this. Can you image a movie with these two in it, I am trying.

Hayden Panettiere Is Single

Hayden Panettiere Is Single

As a source tells Us, "Their breakup has been a long time coming." But that
doesn't mean the former sweethearts are feuding. Panettiere tells Us, "We are
still very close friends and talk to each other frequently. We appreciate and
support each other's careers." (Colletti's rep could not be reached for
comment.)

It has been said that celebrities don't have friends, this might be the most true thing that has been said about them. It seems that the nature of their lifestyle makes it almost impossible to have relationships. There are some that last, but those are the rare strong ones.

Pete Wentz and Joe Simpson Get in Scuffle with Bodyguards

Pete Wentz and Joe Simpson Get in Scuffle with Bodyguards

Oh lord, this sounds stupid because it was probably completely avoidable. I
think I'm understanding this correctly...Joe and Ashlee Simpson, Pete Wentz and
their entourage were attempting to exit the Decaydance/GQ party at the Mirage's
Jet nightclub, when certain parties of their entourage were barred from doing so
by a Vegas bodyguard.

What, does he think he is Kid Rock now, something about these two getting in any kind of fight makes me think more of slap stick comedy than the next Rocky.

months, Kelly nailed it!

Yeah for Kelly, you rock girl... the next time someone makes fun of you I am going to take a sheet and cover my head. Then I will burst into tears and hysterics about how people should leave you alone. Well, not really, but you don't need that anyway.

Britney Moving Out of The City

Britney Moving Out of The City

X17 can confirm that Britney is leaving her temporary residence in Beverly Hills
for this $12 million dollar mansion in Malibu. We first saw her looking at this
property back in May, but now the house is fully furnished and ready for her to
move in! The move represents a real change for Britney, as the large estate is
incredibly isolated. Situated in the hills, it's actually closer to Zuma Beach
than Malibu Beach, far away from the Sunset strip. This looks like the ideal
place for Britney to raise her adorable boys and we couldn't be happier for her!

Is she just taking a break from the city life, because we all know that she needs one. Or is she going into hiding, which would be the next step in her process of becoming this generations Micheal Jackson.

Miley, whose "Hannah Montana 2" album debuted earlier this summer, told Cheryl
about how excited she was to celebrate: "I'm about to leave for tour, I'm going
to miss my friends [so I'm excited to] just sit with them, talk with them, just
catch up, that'll be the best thing."

Have a great tour, watch out for Mickey at Euro-Disney he probably hasn't forgiven you for the last time.

‘Girls Gone Wild’ Creator Recruits Vanessa Hudgens

TMZ has learned that Francis, King of the Boob Flash, has offered Hudgens
$500,000 to “join the GGW brand and lifestyle.” In a press release issued from a
Nevada prison, Francis says “Vanessa Hudgens is the classic girl next door gone
wild. Being sexual is not a crime.”

Hey baby, when I get out of prison we can make some hit movies together, huhh? I don't doubt that Francis would suggest such a thing. I also don't doubt that Vanessa isn't going to do that, she has a great career and that would end it. It is likely that Francis knows that Vanessa won't do it and is just making this move for the publicity of it.

Has the WSJ tracked down Hsu’s cash? Update: Was Hillary warned? Update: Hillary wants refunded donations to be re-donated

New documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal may help point to an answer: A company controlled by Mr. Hsu recently received $40 million from a Madison
Avenue investment fund run by Joel Rosenman, who was one of the creators of the
Woodstock rock festival in 1969. That money, Mr. Rosenman told investors this
week, is missing.

NYT source: Israeli airstrike in Syria may have targeted nuke installations

NYT source: Israeli airstrike in Syria may have targeted nuke installations

Officials in Washington said that the most likely targets of the raid were
weapons caches that Israel’s government believes Iran has been sending the
Lebanese militant group Hezbollah through Syria…
One Bush administration official said Israel had recently carried out reconnaissance flights over Syria, taking pictures of possible nuclear installations that Israeli officials
believed might have been supplied with material from North Korea. The
administration official said Israeli officials believed that North Korea might
be unloading some of its nuclear material on Syria.
“The Israelis think North Korea is selling to Iran and Syria what little they have left,” the official said. He said it was unclear whether the Israeli strike had produced
any evidence that might validate that belief.

The middle east is looking like a more dangerous place. This is the first I have heard about Syria gaining nuclear technology, and I would wait until more comes in to even guess about that. There was an attack though, both Israel and Syria confirm it. Most likely target would have been arms that were going to Lebanon for Hezbollah forces there. Hezbollah is like your little brother, every time it gets its ass kicked it goes into hiding. Like your little brother though, there isn't a change of mission. Just a planning an laying low until they are ready to strike again.

Sweden Apologizes Again… Or Not

Sweden Apologizes Again… Or Not

During the meeting the Swedish Ambassador offered his deepest apologies for the
controversy created by the publishing of hurtful depiction of Prophet Mohammad
(PBUH) in a Swedish Newspaper. He informed the Secretary General that the
Government of Sweden had taken careful and serious note of his statement in this
regard and acted in a proactive manner at an early stage. He stated that Sweden
feels that the best possible action to resolve the crisis is to choose the path
of dialogue and explained that accordingly the Swedish Prime Minister instantly
took initiative to engage into dialogue by offering his personal regrets to the
Swedish Muslim community and explaining them the Swedish social norms and
structures.

These acts are not meant to provoke violence, on the contrary, they are meant to promote discussion. Discussion which would lead to understanding and understanding to less conflict and violence. It doesn't appear that Muslims as a whole are ready to sit down at the table and talk, but they are close. When that happens the world will enter a new golden age.

Dems balk at MoveOn censure resolution

Dems balk at MoveOn censure resolution

Republicans had hoped to force Democrats into the uncomfortable position of
voting for a measure to officially denounce an organization that has helped
raise millions for party candidates in recent elections.
"This smear campaign consisted of entirely unwarranted and fallacious attacks, and sought to impugn the name of a highly respected man of integrity," said Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican.

Granting fools the right to speak freely allows you to know who the fools are and just how foolish they are. The democrats don't need to be pressured into taking a stand on this, the American people can judge for themselves if they like their generals being slandered. It is my opinion that this was an attack of a personal nature that is extremely unproductive.

Time for a New Boland Amendment

The Boland Amendment was actually a series of amendments passed in the 1980s
that eventually banned any money from the US Government being spent as military aid to the Contras in Nicaragua. We need a new one, only this one should be
to ban the spending of any money by the US Government to fight within the territorial limits of Iran. We might stick a two year time limit on it since any other administration wouldn’t be crazy enough to do it barring a real provocation. Right now, it is very plausible that this administration and it’s willing enablers like Lieberman will create a provocation to attack Iran-something that can only result in a complete disaster for the entire region, if not planet.

This is insane, if it is written in such a way that America could not defend itself against an attack, then it would be treason - which it sounds like anyway. If it is written in such a way that America could respond to an attack on itself, would it block actions taken in response to an attack on Iraq. If so that would be traitorous. If an attack on American or Iraq forces or interests allowed action to be taken, and the writers believe that the President and others are dishonest enough to take illegal means to provoke an attack, then why bother writing the law. This is stupid empty political theater.

They should take their work to Airport bathrooms. This reminds me of a joke, an American president was talking to a Russian president about freedom of speech. The American one said to the Russian, here in America any crazy person can go down to the public square and shout as loud as they can - "the President of The United States is a moron". The American explained that you couldn't do that in Russia. The Russian president said that of course you could, he said that any crazy person could go down to Red Square and yell out as loud as they could -"The President of the United States is a moron". Freedom of speech means that everyone gets a voice, even those who abuse that right.

"Ted Olson will not be confirmed"

"Ted Olson will not be confirmed"

Senate Democrats will block Ted Olson from succeeding Alberto Gonzales as
attorney general if President Bush nominates him, Majority Leader Harry Reid
said Wednesday."Ted Olson will not be confirmed," Reid, D-Nev., said in a
written statement. "I intend to do everything I can to prevent him from being
confirmed as the next attorney general."The comment gave weight to Republican
warnings that Olson, a former solicitor general, would face brutal confirmation
hearings and that the White House can't afford a fight now over who will head
the troubled federal law enforcement agency."It would be unfortunate to nominate
someone who can't be confirmed," Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala. and a member of the
Judiciary Committee, said earlier in the day.

It could be the case, that Bush doesn't care about if Olson can win or not. If his nomination gets blocked in congress, Bush can go to the people and blame the Democrats for the road block.

Strange Bedfellows: U.S. Seeks Pact With Mahdi Army

Strange Bedfellows: U.S. Seeks Pact With Mahdi Army

According to the LA Times “U.S. diplomats and military officers have been in
talks with members of the armed movement loyal to Muqtada Sadr, a sharp reversal
of policy and a grudging recognition that the radical Shiite cleric holds a
dominant position in much of Baghdad and other parts of Iraq. The secret dialogue
has been going on since at least early 2006, but appeared to yield a tangible
result only in the last week -- with relative calm in an area of west Baghdad
that has been among the capital's most dangerous sections.”

Critics of the war have proclaimed that we should not have worked with the Sunnis. When it is a success they first claim that it wasn't because of American help, then claim that Iraq is still in chaos because of the Shia fighting each other. Could this be a move by the Armed forces to work with the Shia parties to bring that conflict under control too. I think that if we proceed, they will argue that we shouldn't work with the Shia. Then if it works they will claim that it wasn't because of American efforts. The reason that this war is dividing the nation is that the language that is being used by both sides allows no room for communication or middle ground.

RUDE AWAKENING: GIULIANI’S NUMBERS TUMBLE

According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll “Giuliani's support dropped
from 37 percent in a July poll to 28 percent in the latest survey, and his
decline from February has been even more sharp. Then, he had the backing of 53
percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents and had a better than
2 to 1 advantage over his closest rival.”

I've said it before and I am saying it again. I think that conservative voters, while at first excited about Rudy, will continue to fall away, and most will not vote for him. He has one strong issue, and the more that Republicans see of him and his stand on other issues the less they like of him.

SON OF GONZO: BUSH NEARS CHOICE TO LEAD JUSTICE

SON OF GONZO: BUSH NEARS CHOICE TO LEAD JUSTICE

WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 — The White House is closing in on a nominee to replace
Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales, with former Solicitor General Theodore B.
Olson considered one of the leading candidates, administration and Congressional
officials said Tuesday.

Reports of Mr. Olson’s candidacy suggested that President Bush, in choosing the third attorney general of his presidency, might defy calls from Democrats and choose another Republican who is considered a staunch partisan to lead the Justice Department. Mr. Gonzales is departing after being repeatedly accused of allowing political loyalties to blind him to independently enforcing the law.

Does this mean we are going to have to go through a very long and hard confirmation process?

Thompson: Due process for bin Laden (AP)

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Republican presidential contender Fred Thompson said Monday that while Osama bin Laden needs to be caught and killed, the terrorist
mastermind would get the due process of law.

The only way to assure a victory over terror by killing Bin Laden is to take him before the eyes of the world. Show the world the sins, and the murders that he has committed against Americans, against the west and against freedom. Anything less will kill his body, but his spirit will go on in future attacks. We need to discredit him and his ideas.

Joe Biden panders to score $100,000 in ten days.

I was invited to appear on Meet the Press with Tim Russert on Sunday to present
my views on conditions in Iraq. …
This trip reinforced my long held belief that the conduct of this Iraq war by George Bush, Dick Cheney and their advisors has led to a catastrophic disaster affecting our nation both at home and around the world. Over 3500 brave women and men have died and over 26,000 have been wounded in support of this failed policy. We must get out of Iraq as quickly as possible.

This election is turning out to be an election that is all about Iraq, those who want to pull out and leave Iraq in chaos on one side, and those who believe Iraq can succeed. There are a number of issues that are not being discussed, and it is a shame that there isn't more choice being offered.

Lodi jihadist sentenced to 24 years

A California man convicted of attending an al-Qaida camp in Pakistan was
sentenced to 24 years in federal prison Monday for supporting terrorists,
concluding a case that divided a Central Valley farming community.
U.S.
District Court Judge Garland Burrell Jr. imposed the sentence against Hamid

returned to the United States ready and willing to wage violent jihad when
directed to do so.”

All Our September Elevenths

All Our September Elevenths

This time last year I told the story of the other September 11th.
On this day in 1683 King Jan III Sobieski of Poland arrived at Vienna to break the siege of the Turks and rescue the Christian West from the Hosts of Mohammed. The rout of the Ottoman troops before the gates of Vienna by the Polish hussars gave us a little breathing room, a coffee-and-croissants break that lasted for the next
three hundred and eighteen years.

It has been suggested that the reason that the attacks happened on Sept. 11th, was to send the message that Islam has returned from its defeat a little over 300 years ago. If the Islamic army had not been defeated in 1683, would western culture have existed today?

At least he could have covered his tracks a little better. This is just silly.
