The hate around Sarah

This isn't the first article to discuss the hatred and racism that seemed to surround Sarah Palin during the campaign. I don't know if this reflects Palin's ideas or not, and to be honest it isn't clear how much she is aware of it - at least while it is happening. However, while this article like others before overstates the connection between Palin and this hate, it does make a point. If she was never aware of it, she is surrounded by enabler that shouldn't be trusted and must be extremely ego-centric. However, if she did know about it, she had a moral responsibility to speak against it. It should be remembered that John McCain spoke against the hate when he became aware of it.

Palin's curious tour schedule takes me right back to some of the more disturbing displays during last year's campaign, when people at some campaign rallies at times made racist remarks.

Ann Coulter Interview Part 1 On Obama, Afghanistan, And Political Parties

What do the e-mails really say?

Not having seen the e-mails, my guess is what has been discovered is the natural balance of conversation between researchers. If that is the case, it doesn't represent a cover-up, but an honest search for truth.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Revelation of a series of embarrassing e-mails by climate scientists provides fodder for critics, but experts believe the issue will not hurt the U.S. climate bill's chance for passage or efforts to forge a global climate change deal.
