Will Gore Be Time’s ‘Person of the Year?’ | NewsBusters.org

Will Gore Be Time’s ‘Person of the Year?’ NewsBusters.org:

"Last week, Time magazine held a lunch and panel talk to discuss possibilities
for its Person of the Year issue. Chris DeWolfe, co-creator of My Space.com,
eloquently spoke in support of Gore. NBC anchor Brian Williams suggested Mother
Earth (honestly!), while Whoopi Goldberg, the actress and 'The View' co-host,
preferred the concept of 'green.' Aside from the tree-huggers on the dais,
author/activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali selected French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Meanwhile, former Virginia Sen. George Allen wanted Time to pick Army Gen. David
Petraeus."

I think that Gore makes a strong choice for the position, he is no doubt one of the strongest leaders of the year.

Thursday on Ellen - Al Gore

Thursday on Ellen - Al Gore:

"I like Al Gore. There, I’ve said it. His movie, An Inconvenient Truth, changed
my life and how dedicated I am to being kind to the earth. I always tried to be
conscious of my environmental habits but now my whole family is eco-friendly"

Ellen has been getting some good guests lately.

Al Gore's Son Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges : People.com

Al Gore's Son Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges : People.com:

"Albert Gore III pleaded guilty to four drug-related charges in an Orange County court on Monday, and opted to enter a drug rehab program to avoid prison time.

Appearing with his lawyer before Judge Jacob H. Jager, Gore indicated to the court that he would enter an intensive 90-day residential center. "

I know that there are more serious issues at stake her, but I can't help it. When ever I hear or see his name in the news I wonder, Al Gore the third, is it really such a good name you would want to use it three times?

On a serious note though, I do hope that he is able to get the help that he needs.

Small Detail Left Out Of Gore’s Drug Story | Air America Radio

Small Detail Left Out Of Gore’s Drug Story Air America Radio:

"Al Gore’s son, who was stopped by Orange County sheriff for suspicious of
drug possession, was driving a blue Toyota Prius hybrid that was traveling at a
speed up to 105 MPH."

How many of you have kids or know someone who has kids. How easy is it to get them to act the way you want them to. How easy is it when they are young, and it only gets harder when they get older. Gore's son in an adult, and as such I don't think this should reflect too much on Al Gore as a person. The media of course love these stories, and for good reason, but judging Gore by the actions of his son don't seem right.

History Repeating: Al Gore Victimized Once More By Questionable Metrics Tool - Gawker

History Repeating: Al Gore Victimized Once More By Questionable Metrics Tool - Gawker:

"Tough news for Al Gore from popular blogger Matt Drudge: ''THE REAGAN DIARIES'
OUTSOLD AL GORE'S 'ASSAULT ON REASON' IN OPENING WEEK ACTION, BOOKSCAN WILL
REPORT. REAGAN WON THE RACE BY SELLING JUST 5 MORE BOOKS THAN GORE!'"

I wonder if he is going to demand a recount.

Book Excerpt: The Assault on Reason -- Printout -- TIME

Book Excerpt: The Assault on Reason -- Printout -- TIME:

"It is too easy—and too partisan—to simply place the blame on the policies of
President George W. Bush. We are all responsible for the decisions our country
makes. We have a Congress. We have an independent judiciary. We have checks and
balances. We are a nation of laws. We have free speech. We have a free press.
Have they all failed us? Why has America's public discourse become less focused
and clear, less reasoned? Faith in the power of reason—the belief that free
citizens can govern themselves wisely and fairly by resorting to logical debate
on the basis of the best evidence available, instead of raw power—remains the
central premise of American democracy. This premise is now under assault. "

I think Al Gore can do better things out of public office than in.

Hot Air » Blog Archive » Gore Planning to Run?

There are rumors going around the internet that Al Gore is allowing a secret group to gather that could lead towards a run for the White House. We can assume that he would depend on his new found credentials as an environmentalist. Would he gather more votes than Hilary, who is viewed as being un-popular in the media.
