"She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “Rehab is great for some people and
not for others. I’ve had a couple of mates who’ve gone and it’s worked out great
and I’ve got a few mates who are in and out all the time. A couple of mates did
it once on the one day-at-a-time thing. It worked for them. I’m of the school of
thought where, if you can’t sort something out for yourself, no-one can help
you. You’re a bit lost if you can’t sort yourself out.”"
I understand her logic, but that would be like suggesting that you don't need any help when you are lost in the wilderness. Yes, lots of people who get lost are able to find their own way out, but more people need the help of the search and rescue teams. I think that having an addiction is like being lost, you have to work to help yourself, but if you can get help, from someone who knows the way it is silly to not take it.
