Whoopi’s ‘View’ Tops Rosie’s ‘View’--Bumpshack.com:
People would rather watch Whoopi defend Michael Vick then Rosie defend terrorists.
"Ratings of the ‘The View‘ with Whoopi Goldberg are topping the ratings from the
same time last year when Rosie O’Donnell was co-hosting the estrogen gala."

PETA Peeved at Whoopi Goldberg - The Hollywood Gossip
PETA Peeved at Whoopi Goldberg - The Hollywood Gossip:
Looks like Whoopi knows how to get peoples attention. I don't know if that was the kind of attention that she was going for. Is she going to side with Hasselbeck in the ongoing war on the set? What about the new person, they could bring in Dina Lohan, who is the new person going to side with.
"PETA might hate The View more than Donald Trump does. First, the organization
that loves animals more than people got mad at Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Then again,
most Democrats do this on a daily basis. Now, however, it’s rightfully taking
exception to comments Whoopi Goldberg made during her very first day as co-host
of the show."

Rosie O’Donnell Weighs In On Whoopi
Rosie O’Donnell Weighs In On Whoopi:
I bet Whoopi feels so much better to know that Rosie isn't sad watching the show. I wonder what Rosie would have had to say about dog fighting, would she agree that it was a part of the culture of the south? Well she isn't the only one who isn't sad to see the show without her.
"One reader asked if the 45-year-old actress was sad to be watching the show.
“No, I wasn’t sad. It was interesting to watch,” she said before adding that she
was disappointed at the makeover given to the studio set. “I was sad that the
set was beige. Truthfully, it was just wrong. Maybe people like beige and I’m
the only one who doesn’t,” she said."

FOXNews.com - Whoopi Goldberg Defends Michael Vick on 'The View' - Celebrity Gossip Entertainment News Arts And Entertainment:
Why defend Vick. Just because something is common does not make it right. There are places where drugs and other crime is not uncommon, but it is still very wrong.
"Whoopi Goldberg used her first day on the daytime chat show Tuesday to defend
football star Michael Vick in his dogfighting case. Goldberg said that 'from
where he comes from' in the South, dogfighting isn't that unusual."

ABC News: Whooping It Up On 'The View':
Also it is part sex education. Best of luck to Whoopi joining the show, I think she will get along with the girls great.
"When Whoopi Goldberg takes over the moderator's seat at 'The View' on Tuesday,
she will become the latest co-host on the hit television show, which is part
coffee talk and part group therapy. "

Whoopi Goldberg Won’t Pull a Rosie O’Donnell - The Hollywood Gossip
Whoopi Goldberg Won’t Pull a Rosie O’Donnell - The Hollywood Gossip:
Hey Whoopi, how about you send your mother over to talk to Rosie, no one raised her to be respectful and listen. It will be interesting to see how she works out on the show, but I think that she is great.
"“I disagree with a lot of stuff a lot of people say, but there is a dialogue to have with people that I was taught by my mom – how to be respectful and listen,” Goldberg said during an interview on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show on Monday that People reported."

It's Official
A Socialite's Life: It's Official
It almost makes me wish I could watch the show. I am sure there will be plenty of great moments that make their way to the internet though. I think Whoopi is great for the show, it brings back a racial mix to the show, and she can be just as out spoken as Rosie - except she is funny. It will be fun to see how this changes the dynamic of the show.
"'I have known Whoopi for years,' Walters said in a statement released today.
'She is brilliant, funny and irrepressible, and is an enormously popular and
talented star. We are delighted that she is going to join the program as our
moderator. This is going to be a great new chapter for 'The View.''"

A Socialite's Life
A Socialite's Life: Whoopi and Sherri to Bring Some Laughs to "The View"
I think that she will be great for the show and if the ratings get too low they can bring in dead people for her to talk to, like she did in that movie - Ghost.
"'She is exactly what the show needs,' said Hollywood publicist Howard Bragman.
'She is a beloved brand name; she is outspoken; she has done this before, she is
a person of color; she is as far left as Rosie; she lives in New York; and she
can kick Elisabeth Hasselbeck's ass.'"

Whoopi Goldberg looks to be Rosie O'Donnell's replacement on "The View".
A Socialite's Life: Whoopi Goldberg looks to be Rosie O'Donnell's replacement on "The View".
She has one thing going for her that Rosie didn't have, she is funny. I hope this turns out to be true, I think she will make a great fit.
"'As far as everyone at ABC is concerned, she has the job,' a network insider
confirms to Star. 'They have been meeting with Kathy Griffin, Rosanne Barr,
Ricki Lake and Gayle King.' While Kathy was a strong contender, Whoopi has won
everyone over.' "
