"WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., said Wednesday he will introduce a bill aimed at protecting homeowners,
particularly in the hard-hit subprime mortgage market. "
I question that regulation is the solution to this. The lenders will suffer for their mistakes because they are going to be stuck re-selling properties that could have less value than the loans that were due for the properties. There were many people who landed in a bad place because of the purchasing of properties with sub-prime loans. Does that mean that we should over look the benefit to those that were helped by them.
