"'Teacher' Mike Brooks is teaching his 14-year-old, middle school children
that the U.S. tortures people and that it is better to be a member of 'the
global community' than to be an American. He is so filled with hate against the
U.S.A. that he even sent a letter home to his student's parents asking them to
renounce their citizenship in the U.S."
This is a wrong thing for a teacher to do. It isn't the place for a teacher to be making statements like this to his students. It isn't the place of a teacher to compel them to join the armed forces, and it isn't the place of the teacher to compel them to renounce America. Students go to school to receive and education and that should happen in as politically neutral an environment as possible. This is a clear abuse of the power that he hold as a teacher, and he should be fired.
