"So instead, our Democratic contenders for President talk about a 'woman's right
to choose' and how abortions should be prevented. They want to make abortion
'rare,' which I suspect hides their real wish - that the abortion issue would
just disappear and stop ickying up their campaigns. There's virtually no
recognition of the fact that abortion care is already rare in this country, and
getting rarer. Poor women and teenagers in particular have already had their
'right to choose' taken away, thanks to numerous and onerous state and federal
restrictions passed over the years, including the Hyde Amendment that gutted
abortion funding."
I have to agree that I want it to go away, really who wants to talk about such things. There are a number of fears that I have related to the abortion issue. One is that if and when they take down abortion, they are not going to stop. Their concern is not for the life of the child, they are using the image and idea of the life of the child to promote their social agenda of control. Their next target is going to be to take down all forms of birth control. As one person on the right has said, it makes sex just a form of using people for your own pleasure.
This is an important womyns health issue, it is an important humyn health issue as well. The reason I strongly believe that they do not care about the life of the baby, is that they stop caring once it is born.
