I can see Russia from my house

Palin never said she could see Russia from her house, that was Tina Fey. Now if you can really see Russia from Alaska seems doubtful to me. I remember someone tested the theory, but I don't remember the results.
clipped from newsbusters.org

Tuesday’s World News with Charles Gibson showed clips of an interview between Barbara Walters and Sarah Palin which will air on Friday’s 20/20. At one point, Walters seemed to allude to the fact that there is a misconception that Palin once claimed that “I can see Russia from my house,” during the 2008 campaign, as evidence of her foreign policy experience. The famous line was, in fact, uttered by Tina Fey playing Palin on Saturday Night Live to parody what Palin had actually said in an interview with Gibson from September 2008. Walters:

Barbara Walters Talks Barry Manilow's 'View' Brouhaha

Barbara Walters Talks Barry Manilow's 'View' Brouhaha

“He said, ‘I’ll do Barbara and Whoopi or I’ll do Whoopi and Sherri or some
combination, but I won’t sit with Elisabeth,’ and I said ‘Well, then you won’t
be on the show. It’s that simple,’” Geddie explained. “And that was the end of
it. He’s not going to call the shots. You’re not going to tell me how to produce
the show.”

Good for you Barbara, this makes me respect her for standing up for Elisabeth and the show. There is no reason to refuse to do an interview with Elisabeth. She has not been rude to anyone, she was harsh with Rosie, but by all accounts Rosie was dealing the harshness out as well.

"Chatting with TV’s ‘Extra‘, former boss and career re-ignitor Barbara Walters
said: “Rosie sent me the book with a note telling me how much she loved me. I
have read the book and I would like to concentrate on the love that she sent.”"

That my friend is the difference between class and crass. Barbara has class and Rosie is crass.

Barbara Walters keeps quiet on Rosie’s book | TV Crunch

Barbara Walters keeps quiet on Rosie’s book TV Crunch:

"Rosie O’Donnell sent a copy of her book Celebrity Detox to Barbara Walters. It
apparently discusses her year on The View and the fallout. Barbara admitted to
reading it but will not give her opinion on-air. Find out yourself on October
2nd when it hits stores. I know I’m dying to know if she says anything about
Miss Perfect Elisabeth."

This is a good idea, Rosie doesn't deserve a response, good or bad. It is better not to say anything, than to feed Rosie's ego and need for attention by commenting.

Barbara Walters Explains Her Pass on the Paris Interview

A Socialite's Life: Barbara Walters Explains Her Pass on the Paris Interview

"'They wanted it. For them it was ratings. For me it was respect. I'm
fortunately at a point in my life where I can choose what I want, and this was
solely my decision. But I must tell you how classy ABC was. They didn't try to
force me or say they'd place it on 'Nightline,' or give it to someone else to do
or any of the things they could have done. They respected my decision and walked
away.'"

Yeah I don't buy it. I think I smell some sour grapes. Well who wanted to get all the ratings by interviewing that tart anyways. Who cares about bringing in more viewers by having that slut on the show. We never really cared about that bimbo anyways, we just talked about her and her phone calls because we were bored.

Barbara Walters to get star on Walk of Fame - TV Squad

Barbara Walters to get star on Walk of Fame - TV Squad:

"There's not a lot of information just yet, but apparently Barbara Walters
will be honored with a star on the Walk of Fame on June 14. Of course, I don't
know how much information you really need: she's getting a star, end of
story."

Congrats Barbara.
