"This breaks my heart. Cindy has been brutally attacked from all sides, yet she
kept on going. She didn't do the things she did for attention, money or personal
gain. Her son was killed and all she wanted was for the war to end so others
didn't have to die they way Casey did. Did she make some bad decisions along the
way? Perhaps. Was her heart in the right place? Always. Every day is Memorial
Day for Cindy, and all those who have lost loved ones to war. "
Politics in this age is brutal. Makes me think about what a comment made the bad things that were said about Falwell after he died. The comment was that in choosing to live the life that he did, he understood that such things came with that. Part of being in the public eye right now is to be under attack for your ideas. That is true if you are a truther like Rosie O'Donnell or a conservative like Ann Coulter. I disagreed with much that Sheehan stood for, you say she was fighting to make it so more of our boys didn't die over there, and they are fighting to protect people that are not like us. While the letter that she put out sounds like there is a whole lot of poor me in this choice, I hope she can find her voice again.
Politics is rough, and that comes from free speech. Being allowed the right to say what you think, allows everyone to question you for saying what you think. It does in the end mean that only the tough and the loud get heard.
