"Ira Stoll, the editor of the New York Sun believes that Cheney’s book is
an effort to help gain support for a possible run for the White House. Stoll
writes: “The book quotes Senator McCain as saying, “Dick doesn’t like
campaigning.” Nothing in the Hayes book suggests that Mr. Cheney is about to do
it — except for that the vice president spent nearly 30 hours cooperating with
the author and apparently gave the okay for many of his friends and colleagues
to grant similar access."
I think everyone who takes a few seconds to think about this would know that he is not going to win the White House. Americans are upset about the war, which he was a strong supporter of, people are upset about Scooter Libby, who worked for Cheney. People are upset with Cheney in general, he doesn't have the energy, the presence that Americans want from their presidents. On the other hand, that is just my opinion and I was surprised when Bush was elected in 2000 and 2004.
