Crooks and Liars » White House Convenes Right-Wing Blogger Propaganda Conference Call

Crooks and Liars » White House Convenes Right-Wing Blogger Propaganda Conference Call:

"“The White House hosted a blogger conference call to discuss the issues
surrounding the Bush administration’s use of executive privilege in the probe of
the firings of eight federal prosecutors,” wrote Ed Morrissey, who produces the
blog Captains Quarters. “The White House arranged the call based on a
recommendation by this blog, in order to familiarize the blogosphere with the
legal and political arguments on which the administration will rely to prevail
in the upcoming fight regarding the contempt citations Congress seems likely to
approve.”"

This is foremost I think a step forward in the process of the way that we understand government and the way that government relates to the people. Am I calling it a revolution, no. It would be better if the call had included some liberal bloggers as well, but I can understand the reason that the administration might not want to include them in on the call. The White House wasn't looking to answer tough questions, or more accurately rude questions, which many of them may have been from the left. I fear we are at a point in the net culture that bloggers on the left are incapable of having a civil discussion with leaders on the right, and bloggers on the right are incapable of doing the same with leaders on the left.
