American Thinker: Muslims, Footbaths and the Common Good

American Thinker: Muslims, Footbaths and the Common Good:

"Foot-washing benches were recently installed at the Kansas City
International Airport. And the Hoosier State has announced plans to construct
foot-washing stations at Indianapolis International. The Indianapolis Star
reports that as part of a $1.07 billion terminal construction project, the
Indianapolis Airport Authority plans to install 'floor-level sinks' in the
restroom adjacent the parking lot frequented by cabdrivers."

These are being created for Muslims, but I love the idea of being able to wash my feet in public. This seems like such a mess over nothing. These are not expensive items, and Muslims pay taxes to. It doesn't harm anyone, and it brings not only benefit to the Muslims but to the community.

Muslims Against Sharia denounce the decision by the Indianapolis International Airport to install footbaths. The controversy will further alienate the non-Muslim population. Footbaths will be used as urinals, which will provoke tensions, and more importantly, installing religious ritualistic devices on public property clearly violates the separation of Church and State.
