Paris Hilton's lawyers have filed a Federal lawsuit against Hallmark for using
her picture and trademarked catchphrase "That's Hot" for a $2.49 greeting
card. Wonk wants $500,000 in damages and an injunction barring Hallmark
from further exploitation of her name and likeness.
Trade mark phrase aside, she does appear to have a strong case based on the use of her image on the card. It would have been smarter if they had done a cartoon blonde, that everyone would know was Paris. Placing an actual picture of Hilton on the cover with the phrase makes it a likely violation.
