will get even hotter over the next few days. Mahmoud Abbas plans to shut down
private organizations that support Hamas or act as front groups. Fatah militias
may not bother to wait for that review, and have already started attacking Hamas
assets in Islamist strongholds such as Nablus:"

I think talk of eliminating Hamas is dangerous. If Israel has the right to exist, I think that the party of Hamas has the right to exist as well. It is a party that was given power by the Palestinian people. It is also a party that needs to make some major changes. If it is going to be destroyed as a party, it needs to be destroyed by voters at the ballot boxes. I think that an attack on Hamas by Fatah is only going enrage the conflict, making it vastly more bloody. All the while, it is going to be made stronger by the conflict, the people are going to see Fatah as an agent of Israel and America, the more it attacks Hamas, it will undermine Fatah's authority.
