Rep. Bob Filner faces assault and battery charges in connection with an
alleged run-in Sunday night with a United Airlines employee at Dulles
International Airport, according to an airport spokeswoman.
The San Diego Democrat, whose office had no immediate comment Monday afternoon, is scheduled to appear Oct. 2 in Loudon County General District Court.
Last year a Democratic congress womyn from Georgia attacked a Capital Hill Officer. The voters in her district threw her out in the next election. Even if charges are not filed, he should loose his seat for this obvious violent act. He should loose it at the hands of the voters though, and not a political machine.

This is just like when the police beat up a girl at Reagan National Airport in DC. They assaulted this girl and gave her a serious brain injury and made her entire body black and blue.
Then they arrested HER and charged her with a made up crime. You can be beat up by police and then have them charge you with a slew of imaginary crimes to cover up the beating, even if you are a law abiding citizen.
I seriously doubt Congressman Filner, who has devoted his entire career to public service and was going to visit our troops in Iraq, assaulted anyone. Fly through Washington DC airports at your own risk!
