In dozens of letters spanning 66 years, Mother Teresa described the "emptiness"
she felt and confessed her struggles with faith and the existence of heaven in
pages she had planned to have destroyed. A decade after her death, they have
been published in the book "Come By My Light" as part of the petition for her
sainthood.
This is instructive I think to everyone. I am not a religious person, when I think of the holy mother I think of her as being a shining example of faith and determination. If that faith is in a Christian god, some other god or even something as basic as a faith in yourself and who you are you can take heart from this. A person with a faith as strong as the holy mothers, still had doubts, moments that she wasn't sure. What does it teach us, that doubting and uncertainty are natural and not to be feared. You should not give yourself over to them, but understand that their passing is a part of life.
