"Despite what's being widely reported, Britney was never directly
approached by the producers of the Emmys to appear on Sunday's show, according
to an X17 inside source. The source also believes that Britney's older brother,
Bryan Spears (who's currently unemployed) has been offered $$$ by the producers
to try to convince Brit to appear on the telecast."
It would seem strange to have her on the Emmys not only because of how badly her appearance at the VMAs went, but just the fact that she was at the VMAs. She also has no reason to be at an awards show that is all about television, not that means anything. I think that Britney needs to work hard, and get her life together, and that being on the show would be bad for her career.
On the other hand there is rumors she might be taking a vacation in Utah with Lindsay.
