"The star will appear in the commercials for the company’s latest game More
Brain Training From Dr. Kawashima, which are due to be screened in the U.K. on
Monday Kidman says, “I love the concept.”"
She is not the first person I would have thought of to promote the brand, but often I think it is when a brand brings in a person that doesn't seem likely to be connected to it that works best. She is a beautiful womyn, and if this means we will see more of her, then it is good news.
"Rosie O’Donnell will not be the one to fill Bob Barker’s shoes on The Price Is
Right, because she doesn’t want to bother moving to Los Angeles.
video blog over the weekend, Ro called the gig “a fantasy childhood indulgence,”
and explained that she asked CBS to let her tape multiple episodes on the days
she was out West, but the network said no way. "
This is proof that one there is a god, and two that someone over at CBS has a brain and understood how bad the show would be with Rosie on it. Now it looks like Drew Carey, who I think would be great.
"A Swedish news source reports that Justin Timberlake wasn't acting too
fan-friendly when he stopped by the country along his world tour. The source
claims that Timberlake had responded to a picture request from a young girl by
saying, 'You want me to juggle also?' And later that day, the pop sensation
would not pose for pictures with fans and allegedly 'threw missiles at fans from
the roof of his hotel and even spat at them.' I have no idea what 'missiles'
means, but my curiosity has successfully been aroused. In return, fans started
calling Justin a 'fuckface,' and Timberlake snapped back, 'You're calling me a
fuckface? Go fuck yourself!'"
This is far from the first time he has shown a hatred for his fans, and for the media who act to give his fans access to him. I don't even know why he has any fans, who wants to be treated like that. It isn't like his music is really that good, well I don't think it is.
"Christina Aguilera has revealed plans for an acting career. The Candy Man
singer says she's reading scripts in search of the right role to break into
film. 'I am looking forward to moving into another form of what I feel is
another creative outlet for me and that would be acting,' Aguilera told
reporters in Shanghai today. 'It is something that, when I attempt to do it, I
want to do it right so it's important for me that I choose the right first role
While I wish her luck, I think we have seen that very few are able to cross the line from actress to singer, or from singer to actress. Maybe she will have what it takes, to be honest I don't know that much about Christina. I think that the problem that many of them run into when going from singing to acting, is the parts they take. A real actor will take a part that challenges them as actors. Singers normally take parts that seem like extensions of who they already are.
"'The rumors are swirling that Britney is joining us in LA. Now, Cyndi [Lauper]
said it wasn't happening. And it's Cyndi's tour, so she would know. But, if it
is happening, I'm thrilled...because I enjoy Britney.
Brit, if you're
watching, honey, you and me! We're gonna share like a backstage moment. Cuz I
love you kid! "
While this isn't the proclamation that some are making it out to be that Britney is not going to be in the show, it does raise doubts. To be honest I had a hard time imagining why Lauper would want Britney to be on her tour. I think it would be great for Britney, who needs to get her fans to see her as a performer again. However what does it hold for Lauper. We shall see if this turns out to be true or not.
Brian Grazer, who won an Oscar for 'A Beautiful Mind,' will be producing a
feature length film chronicling Hugh Hefner's life. Hefner, 81, reportedly
approved the project last week, after selling his life rights to Grazer a few
years ago. Brett Ratner, director of the 'Rush Hour' movies, will be directing
the Playboy movie,
"He broke all kinds of taboos, especially in sexuality. I
want to show it all, from the First Amendment (guaranteeing free speech)
struggles to his first orgy to the stroke in the 1980s that almost killed him.''
Like him or not he has had a profound effect on American, and as such an effect on global culture like few others in history have had. The way he started his business is actually rather interesting, and the goals he had when he started as well. It isn't as simple as many people would think. I have come across some of the details, but you can see them in the movie.
"Hilton tells Seacrest that she hopes to build a 'transitional home' to help
women when they are released from jail. 'These women just keep coming back
because they have no place to go,' she explains.
Hilton says the home can be
'a place to get food and clothes on their backs,' continuing that the recidivism
rate is 'a really bad cycle and if we stop it now, we can make our community a
There are moments and there are times in peoples lives where events that could not be predicted have effects that would not have been predicted. It looks like Hilton is at one of those points in her life, and if she is serious about what she is saying this could mean a change of heart, and a change of direction for her life. At any rate it will be good to see her out of jail, and on with the rest of her life. I doubt the girl that we have known for so long will be gone, but maybe she really has learned something.
"If we had left those fuel economy standards intact, Ronald Reagan
rolled them back, we would not have had to import one drop of oil after 1986.
Think of what that would have done to our history. The World Trade Center would
probably still be standing. We would have avoided two Gulf Wars. We would be a
prosperous nation. We wouldn’t be bound down in this Mesopotamian quagmire that
has destroyed our reputation and destroyed the reputation of democracy across
This is crazy. I harshly question the logic that is being put forward by this argument. I think that if the gas mileage was lowered, or is lowered, it will increase the distance that people drive. This means that the usage of gas would not be drastically lowered, or kept low in a meaningful way. The logic is also based on the idea that if we were not involved in the region for oil reasons, they would not attack us, which I don't believe.
"According to the London Telegraph, the civil war in the Palestinian territories
will get even hotter over the next few days. Mahmoud Abbas plans to shut down
private organizations that support Hamas or act as front groups. Fatah militias
may not bother to wait for that review, and have already started attacking Hamas
assets in Islamist strongholds such as Nablus:"
I think talk of eliminating Hamas is dangerous. If Israel has the right to exist, I think that the party of Hamas has the right to exist as well. It is a party that was given power by the Palestinian people. It is also a party that needs to make some major changes. If it is going to be destroyed as a party, it needs to be destroyed by voters at the ballot boxes. I think that an attack on Hamas by Fatah is only going enrage the conflict, making it vastly more bloody. All the while, it is going to be made stronger by the conflict, the people are going to see Fatah as an agent of Israel and America, the more it attacks Hamas, it will undermine Fatah's authority.
"Catherine Zeta-Jones has vowed that she'll never to get divorced from husband
Michael Douglas. The couple have two children, Dylan and Carys and says her
marriage is a life-long commitment.
Catherine tells Britain's OK!
magazine: 'I fell in love with my husband at first sight, and I still feel the
same way. At some point, my little babies are going to run out of the nest and I
don't want to look at Michael and say, 'Hey, remember us?' "
In a culture that is so transient and where relationships last so shortly, their relationship is something that is odd. It does seem rather solid and to be a happy relationship, one of those that make you believe in love. I hope that what she is saying holds true for her, and her family.
"Pamela Anderson, whose great-grandfather was Finnish, has been touring Finland
with her father and plans to pay tribute to her heritage with a new business
She wrote on her official website: 'Our heritage is here.
We are both excited. We will be taking lots of saunas. Save my liver.
'Also I thought of a great way to celebrate my Finnish heritage at home.
I'm going to look into opening a chain of strip clubs and I'll call them
Starting a strip club as a way to honor her heritage, I wonder what her great-grandfather would think about this. I guess if there is anyone who know about this sort of thing it would be Pamela.
"Brad Pitt's family have defended their close relationship with his
ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, insisting the actor remains on good terms with her
The couple divorced in 2005 after four and half years of marriage
and, despite the fact Pitt has since started a family with Angelina Jolie, both
his parents Jane and William and his siblings remain friendly with his former
This is insane that we have to talk about why they are still friends, talk about if they should be friends, and talk as if our opinions matter. Let them be friends, what is so strange about that, leave it alone.
"Though her weight has famously fluctuated for movie roles, Renee Zellweger is
beginning to look dangerously thin.
Dressed as Playboy bunnygirl in hit film
Bridget Jones, Renee Zellweger won the hearts of film-lovers worldwide - but
since then she’s become a shadow of her former voluptuous self."
Girl you need to eat something, what is happening to you. Renee is such a beautiful womyn it is sad to see her is such a state.
"Eyewitnesses reported that the pair, who were happy and relaxed in each other's
company, were spotted kissing on the dancefloor at around midnight. They then
left the party early to go back to William's barracks. Apparently, this is not
the first time that the couple have gotten together since they broke up. There
have been other secret dates are tentative steps towards a reconciliation, with
sources close to both William and Kate saying he wants to give their
relationship a second chance."
They make such a cute couple, it seems that maybe they are giving it a second chance. She has a beautiful face. Hopefull they can make it work out.
"'Eighteen months ago, our Hamas party won the Palestinian parliamentary
elections and entered office under Prime Minister Ismael Haniyeh but never
received the handover of real power from Fatah, the losing party.'
also complained that recent news coverage had failed to mention that Hamas had
offered a 10-year ceasefire to Israel and adhered to a unilateral ceasefire for
'Nor has it been evident to many people in the West that the
civil unrest in Gaza and the West Bank has been precipitated by the American and
Israeli policy of arming elements of the Fatah opposition who want to attack
Hamas and force us from office.'"
I don't support Hamas, but if this is true it sounds like they have some real concerns. I have said this before, I don't know what the best answer for the whole question is. There are a few things that I do believe though. We cannot support Hamas as long as they are not willing to accept the existence of the state of Israel, not just a ceasefire, but an end to the conflict. I don't know that we can leave the people of the West Bank and Gaza, without any help. Supporting Fatah, is just supporting the group that is the least violent it appears, while we can hope that they will be willing to work with Israel under the right terms, we can't be sure. Until someone comes along with a better solution, I think we have to work with someone.
"TMZ has learned Paris Hilton will make her post-jail appearance on 'Larry
King Live' Wednesday night with the King himself.
We are told Hilton
will appear in-studio for the entire hour of the show. It's a major coup
following the NBC debacle yesterday. "
I know you are going to be having a party to celebrate Hilton's release from jail. Be sure to make time for her appearance on Larry King Live.
"A source for X17 disclosed that Britney Spears went to see her attorney
yesterday about looking into filing a restraining order against her mother,
Lynne. I guess she wants to keep her mother away from her kids: Jayden and Sean.
Is Brit still upset with her mother for putting her into rehab and taking sides
It is sad to see families fight like this, but when you think about the fact that it was Lynne who made Britney the way she is, it might be a good idea to keep her away from the babies.
FOXNews.com - Tom Cruise Nazi Movie Going Forward - Celebrity Gossip | Entertainment News | Arts And Entertainment
"“Valkryie” is based on an original script by Singer cohorts Christopher McQuarrie and Nathan Alexander. It concerns an unsuccessful plot by his generals to murder Hitler in 1944 — not because the Cruise character opposes the Holocaust or Hitler’s other policies, but because he’s worried that the world’s most evil despot will ruin Germany in the history books."
Tom must be trying to defend his post as the crazy scientologist in Hollywood. John Travolta made an unexpected play for the post recently. I put my money on Tom, but I think John has some potential.
