Cable networks call just about anyone a "political strategist"

Daniel Libit writes: "Among the things that the proliferation of TV cable news has wrought is slackened standards for what constitutes a political strategist.


On the one hand it sounds silly, but on the other making the source look more credible is better for the network and the source. I think any honest person understands that the term is empty.
