Honestly I don't see what the story is. Mel Gibson is nuts, we all knew that. He may or may not be a racist, I don't see why that matters. Does he get angry and shot on the phone, sure. But lots of people do, and I don't think that is newsworthy.

with the district attorney's office said.

I know that it is not normal for me to be saying good things about Mel, but I have to make an exception here. It appears that he has made a real change in his life, that is not easy and he should be recognized for his hard work. Good job Mel. This means he is no longer a drunk anti-Semite, he is a sober one.

Actor MEL GIBSON was not required to be in court today for a hearing on the
status of his probation for a DUI arrest in July 2006, which made headlines last
summer as the actor made anti-Semitic and sexist comments to the arresting
officers.

Oh look the god father of DUI's was in court today also. I can imagine why they didn't want him and his nuttiness to show up.
