California tells more than 2,700 sex offenders to move - USATODAY.com:

"SACRAMENTO (AP) — More than 2,700 recently paroled sex offenders in
California have been told they have to move because they are violating a new law
that bars them from living near schools and parks."

If this is going to keep our children safe, then this is worth the cost that it is going to place on these people and the upheaval within communities. That is if it works as a means of protection which I am not sure it does.
