Franken and Schumer To CEO: We Hate Facebook's Privacy Changes:
Recent and proposed changes to Facebook's information sharing policies have Senators Franken (D-MN) and Schumer (D-NY) a little irritated. They've penned a letter, along with Michael Bennet (D-CO) and Mark Begich (D-AK), asking Facebook to reconsider their new opt-out procedure, and to take further steps to keep user's personal details, such as their interests and friend lists, private unless they chose to share them.
Facebook is a service people choose to use, while I understand privacy concerns I don't think the government should get involved. The market will sort itself out, if people are concerned enough about their privacy, they will choose to stop using Facebook. The internet works fast, MySpace used to be the king of the internet, and now it is just a wasteland - if Facebook doesn't take care of its customer base the same thing will happen to it. Government action isn't needed.

Friends for Food
Really, who would do this? I guess the easiest thing is to add 10 friends you don't care about and then delete them. They could start a Facebook group to help people find friends to sacrafice.
