The left and the right are waging a war right now, and for the most part it isn't on each other. The main focus of both their attacks is on the middle. The above is a clear example of how this war is working. When someone sits in the position in the middle of the electoral spectrum they will make comments that at one time will lean to the left and at others will lean to the right. The tactics of the extremes are working close together on this point, every comment made by someone in the center that leans to the right is attacked by those on the left. The left will attack any statement that is made that leans to the right. Often they will attack the same person, each attempting to suggest that the comments made by that person are an attack.
The above example is the clearest I have seen in some time, because here the moderator is being attacked for being liberal. The assumption is that this question was asked as part of a liberal agenda. However the same question was attacked by people on the left as being a part of a right-wing agenda. What you don't hear any more is an acceptance of views or people in the middle of the spectrum.
I think that the politics of attack is unproductive and bad for America. As a person who finds myself in the center politically I think that the center needs to be respected. Attempting to shove everyone to the left and the right artificially creates a false tension in politics that isn't demonstrated in reality.

There are few things more nuclear for the right, than abortion and Planned Parenthood. Giuliani has a shaky standing with conservatives, and this only adds fuel to that fire. This could very well spell the end for his presidential chances. Turns out that it wasn't one donation, but several donations made throughout the 90s. Explaining this is going to be hard, either he made these donations because he supported the group or he made them for political reasons while running for office in New York City. Chances are that either way, he is going to have a hard time selling himself as a conservative and not a political hack. I think that Giuliani is obsessed with power, and that this is just an example of why he should not be trusted as president.

children, ages 1 and 5, over the Internet for sex."
This is just a sad story, a person like this belongs in jail where other people can buy and sell him. The saddest part may be that not only was he selling his own children, but he was offering them for $5,000.

Could it be that Alec Baldwin's ex-wife has been talking to David Hasselhoff's ex-wive about the joys of publicly humiliating someone. It is sad to hear that this is the result of the tape, because from what I have read Hasselhoff wanted the tape made as an aide to help him stop drinking. While on the tape he claims that his daughter isn't there for him - his language and demeanor are far from dangerous. Similar to the issue with Baldwin, it is the children who will suffer, the girls will have to face the world knowing that everyone has seen their father in such a state, that can't be easy.

The young actor says that he wants a normal life with a wife and some kids. He says his life has been so crazy lately, and he feels so lucky that he wants someone to share it with. It could be that the lucky person will be the one he shares his life with.
Bloom is an actor I actually have a good deal of respect for. In the movie Elizabethtown, with Kirsten Dunst (yes that is why I bought the movie) he does a good job. I find him to be a solid actor, and I mention Elizabethtown, because on a whole the movie was bad. When you are in movies like "Lord of The Rings" and the Pirate movies it is easy to be a star. I think true star power shines in bad movies.
