ABC News: Banned in Iraq: Security Co. Booted for Civilian Shooting Incident

ABC News: Banned in Iraq: Security Co. Booted for Civilian Shooting Incident:

"The Iraqi government said Monday that it was revoking the license of an
American security firm accused of involvement in the deaths of eight civilians
in a firefight that followed a car bomb explosion near a State Department
motorcade"

This could develop into a real problem for the administration. Blackwater, has taken on much of the security of the state department, and other American and Iraqi officials. If they are not allowed to work in the country, would the US armed forces take over their jobs, or would they be handed over to another security company.

The details that are coming out in the American media make it sound like they responded to an attack on an American State Department convoy. This could be as much about the prime minister standing up to the Americans and the hated security company to gain political points.
