GOP calls on top Senate Dem to condemn anti-Petraeus ad - CNN.com:

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republicans have seized on a liberal advocacy group's
print ad attacking Gen. David Petraeus and have called on Senate Majority Leader
Harry Reid to denounce it. In the ad, running in Monday's edition of The New
York Times, bold letters under a picture of Petraeus spell out 'General Petraeus
or General Betray us?' "

This is dirty politics, it is not fair to call a man who is putting his life on the line to serve his country a traitor. You can believe what you want about the war, but name calling like this is not acceptable. It is not a part of a healthy dialogue, it is name calling and slander and childish. Discussion of the issues is what the nation needs to be focused on right now. This is a diversion from the issues, it is an attack on someone who does not deserve it, and it is an attack on anyone who believes the war can be won. Discussion often does not result from verbal attacks.
