"Imagine banning travel by land in an entire country. That's how bad things have
gotten in Iraq. And just last week General Petraeus was telling us how well
things were going. I'd like to see John McCain and Joe Lieberman, and George
Bush, go back now for a surprise visit."
It is a little of a mixed message to say that the city is safe, and that the surge has been so successful. Then turn around and refuse to leave the green zone without a private army of heavily armed security officials. Unless the refusal to leave the green zone is just a tactic to pressure to government on the allegations facing Blackwater.
