commander General David Petraeus is facing a backlash in advance of his report
to Congress in September on the progress of America’s troop surge. Critics,
including one recently retired general, are privately calling him “General
Betraeus” on the grounds that he is too ambitious to deliver a balanced report
on the war."
While I hear so often that the war is going badly, and that the surge isn't working - what I am not hearing is proof of this. When ever a report or an article comes out talking about the war going well and the surge working it is attacked as being lies. The left attacks anyone who dares to say that the war is going well, calls them a list of dirty names, but what it doesn't do is come forward with a case explaining why they want us to believe the war is going badly.
